Neil Brand Live Accompaniment

Performing in The Debating Chamber on the 19th and 20th December. Tickets £5.00.

Neil Brand has been accompanying silent films for over 25 years, regularly at the NFT on London's south bank, throughout the UK and film festivals and special events throughout the world, including Australia, New Zealand (twice), America, Israel, Sweden, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, and, in Italy, the Bologna, Bergamo and Pordenone festivals where he has inaugurated the School of Music and Image.

Now performing in The Debating Chamber on the 19th and 20th December, he will be playing a live accompaniment to two Charlie Chaplin shorts;

The Immigrant

Charlie arrives on a boat in the land of opportunity after undergoing sea-sickness, violence and attempts on his life and then he meets Eric Campbell as the least obliging waiter of all time.  One of Chaplin’s greatest comedies, full of social incite as well as timeless comedy.

Easy Street

Charlie takes a job as a policeman on the toughest street in town.  Wonderful chases, brilliant gags and real love interest on a street that looks exactly like the streets he grew up on in Lambeth
Variables - Performance times at 2pm or 4pm on either the 19th or 20th December 2009. There is a maximum of 180 per performance so book early to avoid missing out on this one off event.
