The London Film Museum are to display a selection of original props and costumes featured in the upcoming motion picture “Sherlock Holmes,” a dynamic new portrayal of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most well-known characters.
Visitors to The London Film Museum can see original costumes worn in the film by a stellar cast including Robert Downey Jr., who stars as the legendary detective and Jude Law as his stalwart partner Watson; Rachel McAdams, who plays Irene Adler, the only woman to have bested Holmes; and Mark Strong, who portrays Holmes’s formidable adversary Lord Blackwood.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film sees Holmes and Watson as they battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot which could destroy the country.
The costume and prop showcase is now open to the public every day from 21st December 2009 until 31st January 2010 (excluding Christmas Day and New Year’s Day), with entrance to the Sherlock Homes exhibition included in the standard London Film Museum ticket price.
“Sherlock Holmes” opens in UK theatres on Boxing Day 2009.
